SWP LIBRARY
Safe Work Procedures for mobile crane setup, operation, communication, rigging, powerlines, critical lifts and taking damaged gear out of service. They are the method — numbered steps. Hazards and residual risk live in the JHA library.
WorkSafeBC requires written procedures for specified high-risk work (OHS Regulation B.C. Reg. 296/97). CCOHS describes an SWP as the step-by-step method. GOSPEL SWPs are purpose, scope, procedure, competency, equipment, PPE, prohibited practices, emergency, documentation and the editions the Regulation names — CSA Z150-1998, CSA Z248-2004, ASME B30.5-2004, B30.22-2005. The matching JHA is the hazard analysis, not a second procedure.
